The primary objective of NCDIR is to function as a national resource center for disease informatics and research. It aims to collect, manage, and analyze data related to various non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, stroke, and other chronic conditions. The center also focuses on building a comprehensive national health information system to facilitate research, policy formulation, and public health interventions. NCDIR conducts research studies to understand the burden and risk factors associated with NCDs prevalent in the Indian population.
