The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is a constitutional body in India that is responsible for conducting examinations and recruiting candidates for various civil services of the Government of India. It is considered the premier recruiting agency for the All-India Services and Group A and Group B central services.
The UPSC was established on October 1, 1926, under the provisions of the Government of India Act, 1919. Its formation aimed to ensure a competent and unbiased recruitment process for the civil services.

Educational Qualifications
- For Army Wing of National Defense Academy – 12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern by recognized Board/ University.
- For Air Force & Naval Wings of National Defense Academy & for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy – 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent by recognized Board/ University.

SC/ST/Female/Wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs Candidates – Nil
Gen/OBC Candidates – Rs 100/-
Mode of Payment – Pay by Cash/ Visa/ Master/ RuPay Credit/Debit Cards/UPI Payments or by using internet banking.
