Recruitment of Meritorious Sports persons in the category of Deputy Range Forest Officers, Forest Guards and Forest Watchers
The Karnataka Forest Department invites applications from the eligible meritorious sports person for the posts of Deputy Range Forest Officers, Forest Guards and Forest Watchers in various Circles / Divisions of Karnataka. The selections of the candidates are made by the Special Recruitment Committee under the recruitment of meritorious sports persons in the manner specified under Karnataka Forest Department Services (Recruitment of Meritorious Sports persons in the category of Deputy Range Forest Officers, Forest Guards and Forest Watchers) (Special) Rules, 2015.
VACANCY DETAILS
- Deputy Range Forest Officer (Pay Scale: Rs.12500 – 24000) : 50 Posts (06 Posts for H-K Region)
- ELIGIBILITY:
- EDUCATION : Bachelor’s Degree with at least one of the subjects namely, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognised university or equivalent.
- ELIGIBILITY:
- Forest Guard (Pay Scale: Rs.11600-21000) : 50 Posts (06 Posts for H-K Region)
- ELIGIBILITY:
- EDUCATION: Must have passed II PUC or possess equivalent qualification on the date of notification.
- ELIGIBILITY:
- Forest Watcher (Pay Scale: Rs.9600 – 14550) : 25 Posts (02 Posts for H-K Region)
- ELIGIBILITY:
- EDUCATION: Must have passed SSLC standard on the date of notification.

- Male: Minimum 163 cms;
- Female: Minimum 150 cms

- Minimum Exhalation : 79 cms
- Minimum expansion on inhalation : 5 cms
- Female:
- Minimum Exhalation : 79 cms
- Minimum expansion on inhalation : 5 cms

- General Merit, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB : Application fee is Rs.100/– + Service Charge Rs.12/-
- Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Category-I : Application fee is Rs.50/– + Service Charge Rs.12/-

Diploma is not equivalent PUC
I completed my master’s degree in pharmacy, can I apply for Deputy Range Forest Officer.
Please note, for Deputy Range Forest Officer Posts, Masters qualification is not necessary. Bachelor Degree is sufficient. Please find the relevant subject in the educational qualification.
