Direct Recruitment of Warders in Karnataka Prisons Department : Apply Online

Recruitment Board of Prisons Department of Government of Karnataka invites online application for the posts of Warders on merit basis through direct recruitment process. Eligible candidates advised to go though with the official notification before applying to the said posts.

VACANCY DETAILS:

1. Reserved for Hyderabad-Karnataka Region under 371 (J) Local Cadre : Total 69 Posts (GM-63, SC-0, ST-0, OBC-6)
2. Non Reserved Posts (Any eligible candidates from Karnataka can apply): Total 251 Posts (GM-82, SC-45, ST-13, OBC-111)

PAY GRADE

Rs. 11600 – 200 – 12000 – 250 – 13000 – 300 – 14200 – 350 – 15600 – 400 – 17200 – 450 – 19000 – 500 – 21000

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Educational Qualifications

1. SSLC / 10th Pass
2. Knowledge of Kannada Language (Both Written and Spoken) is a must.

Age Limits for Male and Female Candidates: (As on 28.07.2015)

1. Minimum Age : 20 Years
2. Maximum Age :
   1. SC/ST/OBC Candidates : 28 Years
   2. Other Candidates : 26 Years

Physical Eligibility:

1. Minimum Height :
   1. Male Candidates : 168cms
   2. Female Candidates : 157cms
2. Chest Expansions :
   1. Male Candidates : Minimum 86 cms with 5 cm expansion
   2. Female Candidates : Not Applicable
3. Minimum Weight :
   1. Male Candidates : Not Applicable
   2. Female Candidates : 46 Kgs.

SELECTION PROCESS

1. Written Test in Kannada / English (Objective Type Questions with 100 marks for 1.30 hours)
2. Merit List will be prepared based on Written Test Result and SSLC/10th Marks
3. Provisional Selection of Candidates in 1:5 ratio for Physical Test and Endurance Test. (Tests will be conducted in Bangalore, Belagavi, Mysore, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Vijayapura and Mangalore)
